how would we calculate how many "HSC" marks people differ by internally using weightings?
If for example, I got 31.5/35 for a 20% weighting test, would I divided 31.5 by 35 and then multiply by 20? And I will then be able to cmopare how far ahead rank 3 is from my rank?
Thanks

Firstly, schools will often scale individual assessments (ie. change the average and the spread of marks) before adding them.

Secondly, these marks do not reflect "HSC marks". That depends on external scaling after you have done the HSC exams.

Thirdly, isn't this all moot, since apparently you did your HSC 11 years ago?
