Hey guys, so if i rank first in my cohort in say physics, and i rank first in my hsc external, does that mean my internal will become the same as the external. For example, I rank first in the external with a mark of 90, does that mean my internal will be 90, therefore i would get an overall HSC mark of 90. I was just wondering cause i have had some really difficult tests, which i have scored around 80-85% in but i have still ranked first.

Yes, if you are ranked overall first internally and you receive the highest HSC mark in your cohort for the external examinations then your internals and externals are the same. You only need to worry about your internal marks relative to your cohort rather than other schools in regards to your internal mark since different schools have different exam papers and hence different difficulties.
