on a sidenote, unsw comm/law is totally getting fucked. only 4 people have offers. haha what a shit banking alumni we will make.

I just applied for the CA Achiever program for first years...has anyone else gone for that?
And to anyone who has done it in previous years, just wondering how long it takes once applications close for them to get back to you, and also how they allocate participants to firms??

i know heaps of 3rd year com/law at unsw that got past the testing and to third interview at mac...havent heard an update

i pretty much suck. im only doing a single degree [b.com]....... theres no way i will get a spot in banking.

Anyone know what kind of techincal q's can be asked for Citi FICC interview ?

they'll definitely ask you about products (what types of fixed income investments they trade sale and cover i.e. debt securities - high yield debts, all types of bonds), what you know about syndicated loans, leverage finance (i.e. raising money through debt markets for m&a's), main determinants of rates, bond yield and valuation and so on

thats all i remember.

Soooo, did anyone else hear about macq banks loss of $2b in Market Capitalisation yesterday due to bad risk management in America?
Maybe you want to reconsider going for that summer internship in the Risk Management Group?

Good, because that means less competition for me hahaha
