It's worth it. But that being said it's no longer for sale in newsagents so you'll have to backorder it if you want to read the articles Interestingly enough one of the questions they asked all four of the Big4 CEO's was what they thought of the partnership model (i.e. as opposed to incorporating an accounting firm).ps. to save you opening the image if you only want to see the Big4; (rank, firm, revenue for 07-08, growth, number of partners, revenue per partner) 1. PwC 1.408bn, 11.75%, 450, 3,128,889 2. KPMG 1.007bn, 12.43%, 404, 2,492,574 3. EY 960m, 11.89%, 394, 2,436,548 4. Deloitte 764m, 25.04%, 397, 1,924,433

12 Apr 2009, 8:57 PM ![]() ![]() ![]() | Re: BRW Top 100 Accounting Firms 2007 Hey guys, I was just wondering: Is it a bad time to get into accounting because of the global financial crisis and the general health of global financial markets? I want to do a B Commerce - Applied finance (accounting) at Macquarie but people have been telling me that it's not worth it because the demand for accountants is going to decrease as a result of the crisis. Any thoughts? I personally think that accountants will always be in demand because people always need to fill out taxes, people always need to file documents etc etc. What do you think? Good or bad to get into this field? Last edited by Scissors; 23 Oct 2008 at 3:49 AM. |

As seremify pointed out, there may be a bit of a shuffle when next years rankings are released. I've heard rumours that a certain Big 4 accounting firm was in some troubles, but that they've past that now.
