    Finc2011

Anyone recommend doing FINC2011 in winter school?

That way I can underload with less credit points to do in second semester.

If I perform well, is it possible to do FINC2012 in the second sem (I tried putting it in second semester and I can't pick it since I have to do FINC2011, even if I do FINC2011 in winter school?)?

    Cheers

Can't really speak to whether I recommend doing it during winter school, but you should definitely be able to do FINC2012 anytime after you've passed FINC2011 (regardless of how well you performed). That's almost certainly a system issue, so you might need to call up the uni to get that fixed (I'm guessing though they might just get you to fill in a special consideration form).

    Thanks!

Probably not do FINC2011 in winter because it might hit my wam so hard esp with 2012 in sem 2 ;(

Also, do you know if winter school is under CSP? If not, do you pay the same amount as if it was in the semester?

My information may be quite outdated, but last time I heard winter/summer school subjects were under CSP but there was no HECS offered. That was a little while ago however and there's been a lot of people wanting to get summer/winter schools on HECS so there's a good chance you can probably get is HECSed now.

Also just a heads-up on FINC2011 and FINC2012: you'll see a lot of comments saying how hard they are, but personally I don't think they're as hard as what people make it out to be. I do engg/comm, and my engg subjects' difficulty levels are multiples of the finance subjects and given you do Sci/Law you'll probably find yourself more worried about the maths and law subjects than the finance subjects.

Like most other commerce subjects, it's not hard to get a credit in. However if you're after BOOSTING your wam, which is what this subject definitely can be about, you should take it seriously. Mid 90s in finc2011 is common. 2012 is another story.
