how strict are ur parents?

Whoa, I thought my oldies were strict. SMP213, how come no friends or shops? Any reason behind the strictness?

curfew 11 on weekends unless it's an 18th, otherwise they prefer me to be home by around 7/8 for dinner on weeknights. they like me to do about 20 hours of study a week, which isnt too hard to fit in amongst sport and school and stuff.

yea, but there is more!!! n i dunno y theyre lyk that, i guess its coz my big bro was a good boy who didnt really go out, so they dnt expect me 2 want some freedom or something. n plus, im an indian girl, well, that kinda explains alot!

mine are pretty good, just dont get ridiculously drunk because my mum thinks its 'trashy' ha
in relation to boys, theyre cool as long as his respectable!
i can go out on school nights and dont have to be straight home from school or anything
and weekends they just want to know where im sleeping and blah blah

wow mine are Really good compared to most here.
haha i have lots of freedom, dont have a time i be home by no matter what day it is, boyfriends are fine, i can go out do what i wont, all they wanna know is where im staying, and if i need a lift there or home. haha can just bring friends home for the night without having to ask them. its good.
i can prety much do what i wont, as long as i let them know where im going, its fine,
haha when it comes too school, that didnt matter either, it was up to us to how much work we did, as it was our life, haha hence the zero amount of study i did for the HSC, and the 100% drink i did throughout it all..

some of you guys are just plain twisted in the heads...
be THANKFUL for the fact that you even have parents. who cares if you get 1/2 hour on the computer, or that you can't use technology after 10pm..i mean, clearly you've done something in that "rebellious" stage of your life to make them lose their trust in you.
and at least you have a roof over your heads, food to eat and clothes to wear.
think about it, if you actually worked with your parents and had more than just a "mumblling" conversation with them, just maybe you might get a bit more freedom.
My parents are not strict at all for that very reason. and its so blatenly obvious who has the bad relationships with their parents who have made posts in this thread lol.

My parents are cool as long as I let them know where I am. But again I have never done anything wrong (mostly cause i dont do much at all) and as such I am the golden child hahaha

So they have no reason to not trust me. They wanted me to go well in the hsc but didnt really force study on me.

VERY STRICT
- no late night parties

- no boyfriend till i'm in uni
- study study study
- have to come first in all subjects -.-
- future uai must be over 95
- no talking to boys at school (i still do anyway pssh)
- and many more

Well peoples ma parents are typical lebo parents

-study study study study study
-no boys till after uni, no late night teen parties, noooooo alcohol, no smokes, no drugs
-come first in everything
-if u get a mark of 99% not good enough needs to be 100
-can't go shopping with friends coz who knows what they can do

-don't spend 4eva on da phone with friends coz it will distract ma studying
-home after school
-"always to study and know how to cook and clean coz oneday u r gona live by ur self and if anything happens u need to stand on ma own two feet", a quote they always tell me.
-no compuer games or video games coz it would distract ma studying
-must know how to do everything
- o did i forget 2 mention study study study study study

i hate ma parents soooooooooooo much that i love em

not at all strict. they're occupied with dealing with the conditions of two of my siblings. then theres another two siblings to focus on. then theres me who they think has never done anything wrong- so they basically trust me to make the right decisions.

in saying that, they probably shouldnt.

but generally, I just let them know I'm going out and dont know if I'll be home or not for the night. Can go out whenever, be friends with whomever, do whatever and they generally don't ask as i'm viewed by them as a 'good smart girl.'

phhhhhhhht. i have anger issues towards them

I love my parents haha theyd prefer me to go to a rave and come home at 10am than 3am. they dont really care if i do pills/weed/grog etc they just dont want to hear about it, let me go to parties and stuff, i didn't realise i had it as good as i do till i saw all of your strict parents!

i <3 mine now haha
