my mum agreed to me staying at a boys house after the year 10 graduation night, but his mum and my mum have been best friends for a while. it was funny watching the guys literally drag the hosts' brother out of bed the next morning for school. i fell asleep on a lounge with my boyfriend but that's a bad memory now we're over.

i'm allowed to go to another next weekend but this mum is my mum's tafe teacher. can you see the pattern? i'm slightly worried since this isn't just the boyfriends of our group of girls this time. the guys i know my best friend will invite will be total jerks and arsonists if their regular school behaviour continues. this is a bonfire night. and my best friend's plan is for us all to sleep out in a tent in this big back yard. yay...not! i barely know most of the guys! and if i stick close to the one mature guy on the list, who i've been friends with since kinder in all the top classes together, my best friend will kill me. he is her ex. should i be worried?

You sound far to immature to even know boys.

Re: Co-ed Sleepovers

my mum lets the boyfriend sleep over but he sleeps upstairs and i sleep downstairs. that kind of stuff, yeah. if there's a big group, i don't think they have a problem with it. almost finished y12 and 18 in four months time so don't think it really bothers them much what i do after hsc.

is that directed at me? i'll assume it is because its directly after my post. how do you know how well i know boys? you don't know how far i went with my boyfriend, or if i've had others. and i believe you can be "just friends" with a guy quite comfortably. i tell my guy friends as much as my girl friends.

the only reason i'm slightly worried is the stories my guy friends have told me about things these guys have done to each other in the middle of the night on school camps or LAN parties. i trust the guys i know.

Okay... well I've stayed the night at parties with some of the roughest guys imaginable, and I'm still fine. Anyway, most guys have a respect for girls, they won't do anything that'll harm you, even if they don't know you. Just chill and have fun

It's true. MOST guys won't harm you. But there are always the few that will.

You're more likely to be killed by an abusive boyfriend than a guy you don't know.

Re: Co-ed Sleepovers

My parents don't like to sleeping over at all so if i asked them to sleep over a guy's house they might have a heart attack and my dad might shoot the guy.

They're fine with me staying out all night and morning though, even until 5am... just so long as i don't sleep over anyone's house >.>

They never draw up lists of "what to avoid in a relationship with a guy: A guy who has a bad relationship with his mom and doesn't respect women, a guy who watches violent porn (hell, even anal can go in this one), a guy who cusses a lot, a guy who tells me how to dress or go clubbing" .. but they'll often think "OMG I HAVE 2 WALK HOME FRM WORK 2NYT MUST STAY AWAY FRM GUYZ WHO SMOKE N WEAR BEANIES N HAVE FACIAL HAIR"

Women, on a whole, are more likely to be killed by a spouse, or partner, than a strange guy. Children are more likely to be sexually abused by a family member.. than a stranger.

this is more of a reflection of the woman over the men, imo. men are like dogs: if you put a piece of raw meat in front of them they're going to try to bite it. if a woman has a bit of self-respect and doesn't tease the dog, then she won't be screwed over nor hurt.
