The Best Years of Our Lives?

The best days of our lives?

Are our teen years REALLY the best years of our lives?
I mean not everyone is perfect and happy and get what we want when we are sixteen - seventeen.

Most teens I know don't have the best time due to:
- strict parents
- parents who want them to study for hours each day
- just basically family crap
- friends are constantly fighting
- money issues
- basically just stressed/depressed

Or some other random issues.

What about YOU have your mid-to-late teens been the best years of your life (and when I say that I mean opposed to how you think the rest of your life will be)

And, if not, what stopped you from having a good time?

And, if you can remember really vivid stuff (e.g "When I was sixteen I caught the bus with this guy...") then throw that in too.

Memories are always good.

and sorry if font is stuffed up idk what's wrong with pc.

Not up for sharing my life story, but I think they're considered the best because of the freedom. When will you get the chance to be old enough to understand, not have 8h work days to commit to, and have the same people in your life again?

Re: The Best Years of Our Lives?

most of the bad points in the OP could easily be avoided by not being Asian tbh

Teenage years are great. When they're gone you'll miss them While some parts of being a teenager can be stressful, compared to the real world (maintaining a car, paying bills, paying rent, going to a job each day whether you want to or not, taking responsibility for your words and actions), teenage life is a breeze

Re: The Best Years of Our Lives?

being asian only limits you if you think its limiting you, its just that youve got the wrong outlook on things

i reckon its awesome cos we're getting both worlds, ie. the adult world (driving ) and still some parts of youth ie (MIDNIGHT SLURPEE RUN)

and youre discovering yourself, finding out what things matter to you, its where you make some decisions on what path youre gonna take in life

enjoy it, its 2 years, make the most of it

Re: The Best Years of Our Lives?

It's the unaware, dumb and attractive people that get the most out of their teenage years. They don't worry about homework, their future or anything. Instead, they go tanning at the beach, are partying constantly and being promiscuous. It's all smiles and satisfaction.

It sounds pretty appealing but they risk becoming washed up failures at life; hence, having to reflect back on the great teenage years.
