I spent da last week roaming da streets and handing out resume and so far none of them have called.......

I'm like dying of boredom and running out of $$

cover letter is ur initial piece of paper you submit (with resume after it) to the employer you are seeking employment from. It should basically introduce yourself, give a reason why you want the job and why you should be employed etc. Just like a brief intro. Keep it short.

its not really part of a resume
lets look back to the days wen ppl sent letters by mail to apply for jobs. you don't just send them your resume without any ass kissing. You gotta add some bs first before you bring in the main course.
