Hello everyone and welcome to Pendulum Education
Pendulum is a unique and innovative tuition firm seeking to redefine and revolutionise the path to HSC success. At Pendulum, we strive to provide a ‘state of the art’ and ground-breaking style of teaching built upon our tutors’ own experiences of what really matters when it comes to maximising your results. Here at Pendulum, all tutors have attended or taught at some of the most renowned and prestigious tuition colleges in Sydney, and their profound knowledge translates to their exceptional ATARs of 99.85-99.95. Our tutors have over 10 years teaching experience combined, and their expertise will provide a trustworthy and reliable tutoring service for our students. As such, we guarantee a benchmark that will outmatch and surpass all else. We will be teaching Mathematics Advanced, Ext 1 and 2, Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. We will also be offering English Advanced tutoring to students already attending at least 1 subject.
Unlike many other centres, our programs in Mathematics and Science extend far beyond weekly 2-hour theory lessons. Not only are we providing to students the combined resources of all tutors in addition to unlimited long response marking and after-hours support, we will also be launching our Tailored Individual Performance Services (TIPS). This will entail an optional weekly session with a specified tutor, wherein you will be able to discuss topics ranging from recent classwork to general concerns such as time management. Moreover, we recognise the importance of value and affordability, thus this service will be available free of charge to Pendulum students.
Our centre currently has 6 exceptional tutors:
Rohan Gupta - 99.95 ATAR, 98 Mathematics Ext 2, 100 Mathematics Ext 1, 96 Physics, 99 UMAT
Manfred Ai - 99.85 ATAR, 97 Mathematics Ext 2, 100 Mathematics Ext 1
Howard Li - 99.90 ATAR, 97 Physics (6th IN STATE), 97 Chemistry
Kevin Chan - 99.85 ATAR, 95 Chemistry, 96 English
Leanne Wang - 99.90 ATAR, 95 Chemistry, 96 Biology
Andrew Lee - 99.95 ATAR, 97 Chemistry, 96 Physics, 96 English
We are offering classes to Year 11 and Year 12 students, starting at $30/hour if you pay by the week. Discounts will be arranged if you pay in advance for a term, and if you do multiple subjects!

As recent graduates, our tutors understand the stress that the HSC imparts on all students. In addition to providing expertise and thoroughly developed resources, we present our distinction with the initiation of a new, original service. Pendulum is proud to launch our Tailored Individual Performance Services (TIPS), free of charge for all Pendulum students. TIPS will consist of an optional weekly 1 to 1 session with a tutor wherein personalised discussions will be held to benefit the student’s individual journey through the HSC year. Here, unresolved queries from theory lessons as well as general concerns including physical health, mental stress and time management are able to be addressed. Our tutors acknowledge and promote the importance of a healthy everyday lifestyle to complement HSC studying. TIPS directly encourages this in an active manner, allowing our tutors to mentor students at a deep level.
Furthermore, the Founders of Pendulum have considerable experience supporting HSC students, having completed the journey with their three children. Thus, as part of TIPS, Pendulum is offering parent-to-parent advice at no extra cost as we aim to nurture a supportive family environment as your child progresses through the HSC.
TIPS will be available weekly through bookings.
