I recently started at a top 5 selective school. Moving from a top 60-70 school, the shock of the tutoring culture has been really getting to me. I do year 11 3 unit maths, with one hour of private tutoring a week. This is not enough. My tutor is not ahead of class, which is really difficult as we have to master new topics within two weeks, on top of that everyone else can do it except me because of dr du, kurt etc. Should i go to a coaching college? will this be too much? i cannot drop to 2 unit until year 12 because it causes a clash in my timetable. In the meantime does anybody have recommendations for a tutoring college which is not too ahead so i wont just be overwhelmed? should i look for a second private tutor, as my current one doesn't have spots left for more hours with me? any advice would be greatly appreciated
