    Does Khan Academy help?

Does Khan Academy help ESPECIALLY for the HSC? Since it's like an American curriculum I have a lot of doubt about it, it seems like a really good software, just don't know if it'll help for the HSC.

    Re: Does Khan Academy help?

I personally found Khan Academy helpful for the HSC. Although the videos aren't made based off the HSC syllabus, they are very informative and easy to understand. This is mainly because Sal (the guy who makes the videos) explains concepts simply, yet concisely.

Not all of their videos will be applicable to you although they do cover many topics present within the HSC syllabus

Yeah so that's the problem : the syllabus.

Everything is else like the teaching, understanding and practicing is all fine, just the syllabus is the problem, I guess I'm going to have to choose the right videos then.

    Re: Does Khan Academy help?

I used Khan Academy sometimes during the HSC.

What I did was do my own study/learning for a topic in the syllabus and if there was anything that needed further clarification for me, I just went to see if Khan Academy talked about it or not.

For example, after learning titration curves in Chemistry, I went to see if Khan Academy had a few videos on it just to further my understanding. Thankfully they did and it was actually really useful - it was very informative, easy to understand and succinct.

I wouldn't use Khan Academy as your sole and go-to source of information due to the syllabus. Instead I would advise using it for further clarification on a particular topic. Also, if you know the syllabus dot-points, then you'll know if they go over extraneous information that is not needed for the HSC.

Thanks so much for clarification! Also just one more question, what was your ATAR (if you'd like to share it)?
