2U,3U,4U Maths, Chemistry and Biology Tutoring in Sydney

Hi, as some of you would know, my name is Michael, and I recently graduated from Trinity Catholic College at Auburn.

On the recommendation of others, I have decided to tutor Preliminary and HSC students in 2U, 3U, 4U Mathematics, Chemistry (Industrial Chem Option) and Biology (Communication option). I accelerated in 3U and 4U maths and I got 98 and 95 respectively. Unfortunately, since HSC results aren't out yet, I cannot provide you with my Chem and Bio results, otherwise I would. EDIT: I have also decided to offer general maths tutoring, as people have expressed interest in being tutored in that area.

I tend to take a more 'laissez-faire' approach to tutoring, in that I feel that we need to work on your weaknesses one-on-one instead of just throwing the whole topic at you like school does. Though, if you would like me to teach you the whole topic, I would have no problems with that at all. Also, I tend not to give homework, because you get enough from school, though again, I would prescribe it if you asked for it.

A general session would involve going through the topic you want to work on, doing some problems associated with the topic, and then looking at how that topic is treated in HSC exams, doing some HSC problems, and going through the Markers' notes and marking criteria afterwards. I would also give you notes on the topic to take home, to help with study etc.

I would be more comfortable going to a library just due to the fact that the situation at home is tense right now. I can possibly come to your home, though I don't have a car at the moment (I am getting one soon) and so that would be limited to those close to train stations.

My rate would be anywhere between $15-$20 per hour, depending on location. I obviously need to cover the cost of the train ticket, and so it would be more expensive going to areas furthest from the inner west (as I live in Auburn). I would generally be willing to go to most suburbs in Sydney, out to Blacktown and probably up to Sydney City/North Sydney area.

Right now and throughout the Christmas Holidays, I am generally available any time. That would change next year, as I plan to go to University, though it's not a problem at the moment. If you are interested in what I have to offer, then just reply to this thread or send me a PM/Visitor's message. I am on here quite frequently, so expect a quick reply.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention that online help (whether through BOS or msn) is completely free, and is available whenever you would like. I am generally on MSN quite frequently, and so it is not a problem for me.

Michael.
