6. Do you believe depression on the increase in today’s youth?

(If yes, can you please explain why?)

There may be higher numbers of depressed young people but I think it's just because depression and other disorders have become more accepted, and people are more likely to get help and admit they have a problem.

Open Questions: Please write your answers in the following space provided
12. What do think are social the effects of Depression has on youth
social withdrawal - the individual might feel like no one understands, and might feel like withdrawing from social contact, which then exacerbates the problem because they will feel even more lonely when they don't have a support network.

13. What do you think the physical effects of depression are on youth?
Disturbed sleep patterns, which may affect the immune system.
Disturbed eating habits, which may lead to significant weight loss or weight gain, and maybe even eating disorders.
Feeling 'down' and not feeling like doing anything may make the individual feel fatigued all the time - inactivity breeds inactivity, and sometimes the best thing to do is get out of the house and do some exercise even if you don't feel like it.

14. What Do you think are the Emotional effects of depression are on Youth?
Feeling alone, feeling like no one cares, feeling sad or confused, or both.
In extreme cases this can lead to suicide.

Thank you for your time- I really appreciate your honesty and time
