paquet(e) adj. - pissed, drunk, though Qubcois-ism. Just thought it sounded cool Download some "Les cowboys fringants" songs. FUNNY! (once one finds lyrics, cos it's really fast and the French combined with a foreign accent is just OMG overwhelmingland.

a craint! - that sucks. The more and more I see it on the Friends DVD subtitles the more i'm lead to believe it's real!

ficher le camp: fiche(-moi) le camp! - clear off! get outta here! piss off!

le coloc - short for 'colocataire', roommate.

to bump up an old thread... I've found some new french slang/idioms which might be useful.

Mourir d’envie de – to be dying to

Tourner autour du pot – to beat around the bush

Ne pas avoir la moindre idée de – to not have a clue

Maintenant que j’y pense – come to think of it

D’un bout a l’autre – cover to cover, end to end

Dire/lancer une plaisanterie – to crack a joke

Avoir le beguin pour – to have a crush on

Jusqu’a present – to date/until now

Passer toute la nuit a danser – to dance the night away

Cela ne fait rien – it doesn’t matter

portable - mobile

Chanceux! - Lucky!
