23 Jan 2010, 4:00 PM ![]() | wall-hanging material? You can hide this advertisement by registering. hey all, just need a little help here as i am doing a wallhanging for my major. i got everything sorted out, like what techniques im gonna use but the thing is i have no idea what kind of backing i shud use for my wall hanging. what materials do you guys suggest that is durable but also something that i can use to put decoration on. i was thinking of making my own backing by using felt however i dont think it can really support, maybe i could use interfacing for it to stay stiff, and give it dimensional stability. Anyway, any advice is welcome. |

8 Feb 2009, 10:49 AM ![]() | Hey I did a wall hanging for my major last year and i used calico as a base material for my backing before i put black satin over the top - that i stiffened a bit using interfacing - i know the satin sounds a bit weird but it fitted with my design and it worked for me - hope this is some sort of help to you. |
