the principles of printing are pretty simply
1 print paste applied to raised surface of printing tool
tool is pressed against surface of textile
it is then fixed or set - during steaming the fibres swell allowing the print paste to penetrate

Printing is:
the method of applying a design to the surface of a fabric using pigments

principles of printing are:
1. print bed is prepared, with a soft resisitance underneath and a hard surface
2. A vicous printing paste is applied to the raised surface on the printing tool
3. The printing tool is then pressed directly and fimraly on the fabric. A rubber mult is used to make sure it is even
4. the design is oftenly repeated. Aligning of print is known as registration
5. Heat is applied via steaming or ironing it is done to ensure that the print paste penatrates through the fabric
6. thefabric is washed to get rid of any extra residue or non fixed colours.
