it depends on the subject, i have found excel good with some subjects not so great with others, while macquarie was the same...Get as much info as you can, it all helps!

I bought Macquarie for Business, Bio and SOR 1 unit.

For business and Bio I found they were great - but for SOR it is a waste of time, it has heaps of information that is not really needed.

For General Maths I used Excel and also the Sucess One book (Pretty good for practice exam questions). These are the better alternative. I think so anyway.

For Advanced English I wouldn't reccomend any of the study guides, as they just aren't sophisticated enough to be worth paying for them. Just borrow them from the library and have a read through. No point buying them.

Red face Macquarie

i really like macquarie
they have a bit more detail and my teachers actually prefer us to study from macquarie than excel so......
good luck with your choices

I wouldn't recommend either of them for english, although macquarie was slightly better than excel, which sucked a lot. Thats the only subject we have in common, so I'll leave it at that.

Personally, I think that the Macquarie guides are better.

I've only looked for Extension and Ancient History, Business Studies, and Advanced and Extension English, though.
