Ciao a tutti! Come state?
Allora, questo’anno faccio l’anno 12 e studio italiano! ho studiato circa 1 & 1/2 anni di italiano Ci sono solo 1 persona nella mia classe - ME!
L’anno scorso sono andato in Italia e mi piacuto moltissimo - sono andata a Roma, Venezia, Firenze e Montepulciano Era incredibile!!! L'esami per l'italiano e domani!! ARGH!

Ciao a tutti, mi chiamo Sara. Faccio il penultimo anno di scuola e sono di origine italiano pero e` molto difficile per scrivere e parlare in italiano. So che non sono molto brava in italiano pero` voglio provare per perfezionare il proprio italiano. Non ridere a me per piacere. Mi piace soppratutto cantare e mi metto a cantare sempre in giro a casa. La mia sorella dice per stare zitta! Ti piace cantare? Che tipo di musica ti piace? Che materie studi a scuola?

Ciao a tutti... mi chiamo Amelia e faccio il penultimo anno, ma non mi piace scrivo in italiano. Sono prima in classe, ma siamo solo in quattro... lol. Un'anno fa sono andata in Italia per una gita scholastica, e ho fatto molte amichizie nuove. Sono stata con una famiglia molto simpatica per tre settimane, e ho visto molti posti storici come il Colosseo. Era belissima! Poi, sono andata a Firenze e Venezia. Per dire la verita, Venezia non mi e' piaciuto perche' l'aqua e' inquinata e era molto affolato. Pero' Roma e Firenze erano belissime e mi piacerebbe ritornare nel futuro.

The only correction I can see is "ma non mi piace scrivo", should be, "non mi piace scrivere"

Salve ragazze, mi chiamo Anna e ho sedici anni.
Mi piace l'italiano perche io penso che la lingua e la cultura siano molto interesanti. Un giorno mi piacerebbe viagare in Italia!! =]

(i know nothing and have never really written in italian other than orals and such. but its good to have a place to chat and i guess practice general conversation /communication )
btw im in yr 11, you guys are so GOOD at the language. im crap as lol

Ciao Ginny! I think I spotted a couple of tiny mistakes, though I may be wrong... it says 'qualsi' where I think you may mean 'quasi'. And you said 'Not to write or to listen well,' where I think you meant 'Non scrivo ne' ascolto bene', 'I don't write or listen well'. I made a similar mistake in my first post, lol... I'm not the best at editing so yours might be right in the first place

L'esami di l'italiano mi rende nervoso.

Anch'io. Devo praticare di piu' per gli esami orali... ho paura di bocciare questi esami in particolare.

Haha don't worry, you'll learn so much between year 11 and 12 (or at least I did. But you already know il conjunctivo, impressive. However I did notice a small spelling error, 'viaggiare'.) Do you do beginners or continuers?

Prego.

I'm not quite sure to be honest... continuers requires a greater understanding of the language, and more depth in your answers. just looking at some of the writing sections of the past papers, there is a significant difference in the types of questions...

i.e. Continuers;

Write the text of an opening speech in a school debate on the value of learning other languages (may not sound that hard, but i did this question as a practice and i found it difficult to think of points)

as opposed to Beginners:

Write an email to your friend describing your recent special holiday experience.

so beginners is more concerned with the descriptive, whereas continuers is a bit more analytical.

oh i see, is VCE italian closer to beginners or continuers, do you think? haha of course not, this thread has been dead for ages, so the more the merrier...

io, per esempio, non sono sicura ancora... all'inizio dell'anno, ho volevo di fare un corso di Commercia a l'universita' del Nuovo Galles del Sud. Ma purtroppo i voti di entrare sono altissimi (circa 99.55). Cosi al momento, penso che prendero' un 'gap year' per decidere quello che voglio fare all'universita'. E voi?

Grazie russianROULETTE, mi dispiace che tanto tempo ha passato che non ti ho scritto. Sono stata molto impegnata con la scuola ( come tutto voi che state faccendo l'esame di maturita`.) Delle volte, penso che quest'anno non finera` mai pero` ho parlato con l'altre gente che ha finito la scuola e ho trovato che c'e` piu` di vivere nella vita non solo la scuola. Insomma, me la cavero`! Allora, spero che voi capite cosa voglio dire e come voi, sogno ad occhi aperti quando non ho bisogno di fare un'altra esame!!

P.S I can see how russianROULETTE came first in her class, she would kick my ass in any italian exam!!

i've finally realised i must get my butt into gear and spend alot of time on italian.. mostly just general conversation as thats where i am worst.

would love to have chat with some beginners like me hehe
