Need Advice on editing courses in Melbourne

Alright basically I've finished my VCE back in 2006 however i had lost interested in Art & Graphics by the time i completed my VCE. Unfortunately i was not interested in film/or pick up media/film subjects in school. However a year after i took an interested in video editing, and since then have been doing it as hobby up until now.
Now basically i want to take up a course in video editing but i'm in a mess on when to begin, considering I've never study film. I'm interested in looking into any Tafe courses related to film editing. I've also looked into courses into RMIT in 'screen' but still not sure. I'm interested in long term courses so if anyone could give me some advice on where to start or recommend any particular courses in Melbourne that would be right for me or would be of some help, would be much appreciated.
