I graduated VCE in 07' didn't do very well. From here I went and did some Microsoft Certificates, and landed a traineeship. I will have completed this traineeship by mid-year (August) and come out of it with a Certificate IV in IT (Support) I was looking around and Gordon Institute offer direct pathways into Deakin's Bachelor of Business Information Systems, if you have undertaken a Cert 4 in IT. The thing is, I did my Certificate at VU. I'm going to check Deakin out and speak to someone there Wednesday but what do you think my chances are ? I know the course structure would be the same stuff as anywhere else. But Gordon/Deakin have a partnership thing going on I think. From here I would then do dip ed to become an IT/Business teacher. I may have to do the diploma, which is a little bit more work but It should only take a Year once I have been credited for all the Cert 4, as a lot of the Diploma covers stuff In the cert 4. If I did a diploma, it'd shave 1-1.5 years off the degree If I were accepted and went straight into the Bachelor, it would be 3. So it seems that no matter which way I take it would more than likley work out the same time. Do you think there is an advantage in going one way or another? Just wondering what you all think. Cheers |
