I've been hearing a lot of bad rumours about Electrical Engineering, and was wondering if anyone knew anything about it?

I asked around at the open day, and everyone said to me as long as you are decent at math it'll be fine.

However, my chemistry teacher and others have told me that it is one of the hardest courses to do. Harder than even medicine. Apparently the UAI cut-off is low because no one wants to do it.

Who am I meant to believe?

A boy in my math class also wanted to do electrical engineering. My maths teacher's response: "YOU'RE KIDDING RIGH?! YOU DO KNOW THAT THAT'S THE HARDEST COURSE! I TAKE MY HAT OFF TO PEOPLE DOING ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING!"
(he doesnt' wear a hat, it's a figure of speech--avoiding confusion)
So, yes, he went on to say that it WAS much, much harder than medicine
