hi, i was just wondering what kind of assignments do u get when doing the course (civil engineering)...if someone that is doing the course or has done it and be abit specific...like do they build models of buildings or wat??

You might get to build a couple of models in first year, maybe a bridge competition or a tallest tower competition or something. Lots of 'do something, write a report about it, make a presentation' assignments. Occasionally you'll get a 'design this' or 'answer these questions' assignment.

Building models is for architecture students.

Yep, but everyone else does as well so its not that bad. There will always be someone worse than you at public speaking.

Usually you'll be presenting in a group, so you can find someone confident, write up all the material and get them to present it.
