looking at it from the perspective of a grad hire....

i figure time spent job hunting vs time spent doing that competition

On month at Microsoft will be far more impressive looking, plus you can always do casual after.

If you go for the experience, you could ask/push for a permanent position...

Depends if 1 year casual is related to what you doing, then i'd choose casual for 1 year.

Your time is much much better spent working on that competition. The chances of you finding a job are pretty slim but you are pretty likely to win that work experience.

casual job would be coles because it's up my road

anyone submit yet? i didn't get to form a group but figure if i win, i'd want to take it all myself anyway..
