currently in year 12 completing my hsc and am, and have been for the past year and a half, most fond of economics. Fond enough to wish to pursue a career within this field. So university is definitely happening, and am hoping to receive a scholarship to place me in a commerce degree, majoring in economics and am wishing to specialize in either global trade and finance or 'money and banking'. i am vaguely aware of the jobs coming from this degree but would like to know more about it. how large is the demand for graduates of this degree? jobs? what is the typical wage of some jobs? is it difficult to gain honours and what benefit will this have within this field of work? is this a good degree from others personal experience? and what does newcastle university have to offer in regards to this? etc etc etc

Sounds good, not a lot of scholarships with economics though, but still try.

. i am vaguely aware of the jobs coming from this degree but would like to know more about it. how large is the demand for graduates of this degree?
Not enough demand to satisfy all the people doing economics/commerce

There are so many, it is impossible to list them. There are alot of specialisation

what is the typical wage of some jobs?
Varies greatly. Usually grads start off at least $55k

s it difficult to gain honours and what benefit will this have within this field of work?
Easy if your marks are good. It will only greatly benefit you if you want to do policy making/lecturing

is this a good degree from others personal experience?
I love it

and what does newcastle university have to offer in regards to this? etc etc etc

Most Unis will offer economics and commerce
