I just missed my first preference by 0.35, and the course i wanted to get in has no more vacancies. It's a really demanded course and the cutoff increased by 1.4 from last year. Just want to know if there is a chance that the uni would still make offers even if the course is full?

Yes, but unlikely you would get an offer.

Courses with vacancies often make late round offers. But given they have said no vacancies it would be unlikely that they would lower the cutoff, and in all likelihood they would keep it the same or increase.

The only thing that a student can do is ensure that they list their preferences in their order of their genuine preference.

If someone who has been offered the course refuses it then a vacancy could open up but otherwise there won't be any offers in the next round.
