What kind of leeway is there when applying to university courses I want to study B Engineering (Hons) Software, Dip Prof Eng Practice at UTS a new course that UTS states here (http://m.uts.edu.au/future-students/find-a-course/courses/c09067) will be 86.6. I got 84.75 in my HSC this year is there any chance of me getting accepted so much so that I would consider it highly in my UAC preference list.

Cheers

If you really want to do the course put it first.

Cut offs change year by year. It is only 1-2 points which means that there is definitely a chance of you getting accepted in one of the rounds.

It will depend on how many people apply for the course with a higher ATAR than you. Definitely put it as your number 1 preference though I think you'd have a good shot mate.
