Am I the only one who hasn't had lazy group members? I haven't come across such people YET.

In Commerce group work is very common. In a history degree it seems less common.

But why? I don't get it. UNSW accepts people who have a great ATAR so how are there people who achieve high marks in high school yet they don't contribute to group work in uni?

I mean you can't blame them because they're international. But if they're absolutely putting in NO effort at all then there's the problem.
ye nah I can guarantee the majority are like this

They don't understand the language

They don't understand plagiarism

They don't understand what team work is

Once I literally wrote this *persons* speech for them, I tried to get them to give me dot points, and told them I didn't care whether they sent me the video or not, as my marks wasn't being assessed on it, and if they didn't hand it in quickly I wouldn't include their part, and that would mean they'd lose 10%.

Guess what? They still sent me the video at the last minute, and I probably should've not included their part because they couldn't even be bothered to put any effort into it.

heaps of those int students dont give a fucc about their grades thats why they dont put in work for assignments. they just want to pass at the bare minimum. they are here to get permanent residency and university is their pathway to it.

yes

I would rather literally take a kick in the scrotum than work with international students.

no offense but why would an international student come to study in Australia if they knew very basic to no english?

also Im sure you can make a complaint to a supervisor or something that they're doing nothing
