Ok, so I am currently in the process of creating my university timetable for my first year of uni next year.

Here is what I am doing: [https://www.newcastle.edu.au/degrees/bachelor-of-communication/handbook#program-structure]
And the program structure:

I am planning on doing the media production major.
I would like to know if it is possible/ok/manageable for me to do one of the 2000 level directed courses in year one, and do the 1000 level in year 2. So it would look a little something like this:

Year 1: ------
Sem1: Med Prod: Social and Interactive (2000(yr2))
Sem2: Med Prod: Sound Production (1000(yr1))
Year 2: ------
Sem1: Med Prod: Television (2000(yr2))
Sem2: Med Prod: Cinematography (1000(yr2))

This way I would be able to do all the courses I want instead of missing out and having to do ones that I am not interested in. As far as I can tell, it should work out. I have a cousin who went to uni years ago who told me this was something I could possibly do.

The program plan also says I should contact the course director for any changes to the program plan so I should probably do that when uni opens again shouldn't I?

Please don't hesitate to leave a comment asking me to clarify anything, this is almost just as confusing for me too :spzz:

(Also, mods, if this is in the wrong place or anything i'm sorry and plz let me know :) )

Thanks in advanced!
