Try PMing +po1ntdext3r+ about this, I believe he is the authority on Dentistry courses (see the Med forum above). As far as I can tell most Dental/Oral Health courses have the same core subjects with different areas of specialisation, so the difference between Dentistry and Dental Science is an emphasis on Dental practice in the first and Dental Technology on the second (perhaps like Medicine and Medical Science?). Of course, I haven't looked into Dentistry so this is just a suggestion, not an authoritive statement. :)

as in the PM

all courses are equal...

its just BDS (dental surgery) is the oldest type conferred by unis.. lik it was conferred up until the 1950's
unis -london ,sydney,adelaide (older schools)

then dental science was introduced - melb, UWA, UQ

now dentistry has been introduced - griffith, sydney ( new 4yr course)

all are courses to be dentist :)

cept dental therapy.. which is like a study of dental stuff but not be a dentistry..
its like the distinction between Medicine and Nursing.

i find it strange that people try for both Med and Dentistry...like people who apply for both Medicine and Law

not meaning to sound judgemental, but they r very different courses
