I've noticed in some threads that people have been talking about the number of students accepted into each degree. Does anyone know where to get this info? I've tried looking at uni websites to no success :(

Commerce intakes in both USyd and UNSW are around 800 ?
That's an 'educated guess' based on enrolment figures in first year core subjects

i don't think so, minai! lol
I would guess around 250.
the 800 includes Law students, arts students as well. so you would get around 800 in some Comm subject.

no, I've already taken that into account
1st year accounting subjects usually have 1,100 enrolments
that's why I put the figure at 800

its not 250, because how could 500 people major in accounting in 3rd year?
also, arts and law students you speak of are still commerce students (assuming they are combined)

I think it's more accurate to look at the enrolment for individual subject, rather than the combined number of students in all third year course.
for example, look how many student enrol in a compulsory subject in commerce, take away the approximate number of student in laws and arts (becasue they don't contribute to the cut off for B Comm, nor they are counted as the quota for B Comm)

Plus the cut off can't be 96 if the quota is 800....even though B comm is demanding.
