i saw a warning for weekend morning maintenance but that is all. however, for the last 2 weekends i have had problems (but not this widespread) and i have rang them twice and the problems were on their side both times.

I spoke to the uni, this morning and the domain is down and will not be up and running at this stage until at least tomorrow morning... they can not even confirm if it will be working then - theyhope to have it resolved by tomorrow evening.

However it is woking onsite at MQ - hence how i got in yesterday i logged in through my work pc and that works - so if you need to get anything from webct you can still go to the uni and log onto webct etc through the uni library.

ha, it must be a user problem. every user not on site has their browser settings wrong.

edit: i can access some things via google (gpa calculator which is what i was looking for)

Thanks so much for that mserica. It will help me a heap, I'll go in early tomorrow. If I can get even some of the stuff I need it will be great.

DATABASES DOWN

i downloaded papers at 2am this morning because i knew this would happen but the one i want to work on at the moment i musn't have saved AND i WILL need others. i should be able to get a fair bit done with what i have saved but:

edit: rang uni and they don't know when it will be back up. they mentioned that last weekend it took 3 days.
that is the reason i didn't get to do this assignment last weekend

yeah the rest of the system works for me but not the databases to get journal articles (i just checked again).

this happened 2 weeks ago and they came back up pretty quickly, last weekend the problems started with webct, not just the databases, and it didn't come back up for a few days as we all know. i am hoping this weekend follows the pattern of 2 weeks ago and not last weekend. since most of my assignments rely on journal articles and the only time i am ever free to do assignments in big blocks is on the weekend this is getting a bit frustrating.
