Hello one, hello all,

That glorious time of the year, where our privelage as university students to bludge for a 3rd of the year has arrived.

The glorious, halycon days of summer, where we can attempt to go to the beach when global warming doesn't mean that its 16°c in November.

Or we can sit on the Internet. :)
Or play video games. :) :)
Or have ice cream :) :) :)
Or play golf.
Or play poker.
Or go to work :(

Put up with family on Christmas Day :mad1: , go shopping at sales time :D, gather ye round and talk about any of it here, share with your fellow USyders and you may be rewarded with sympathy or scorned with the fiery heat of a troll.

Oh and for the newbie potential USyder who has stumbled upon our fair forum, welcome, sit back, relax, have pina colada, and please don't take offence to anything that our trolls may say to wind you up. I try to give them a spanking once in a while, but I find that only makes brogan more excited :p

(don't mind me, work has made me a little loopy)

I'm looking forward to work, because work leads to computers, video games and interweb with acquired dinars.

Pah. I made a list of a million things to do in the holidays during exams (all part of a huge effort at procrastination, of course) and I'm too busy working to go anywhere or spend any money.

Boo :mad1:

Yeah I'm going to be working a lot.

But I also plan on spending a lot, and going to the Gold Coast with mum for a week (siblings at school and dad at work).

And hopefully going out with friends, before one of us heads to Japan for a few months.

Going to the beach is a priority as well =). WOoo.

I was looking forward to a summer off, but got a job offer just before the end of semester.

Snowy Hydro River Scheme - here I come. Money is almost better than bludging.

- Need to get a job, seriously--reduce boredom more than anything cos I really am a low-cost maintenance sort of person
- Read lots of books! :D
- Have had a few invented tunes stuck in my head for a while now--compose something would be nice! :D
- Practice lots and lots of piano
- Go out with friends (particularly those who are going away soon and won't be back for the majority of the holidays)
- Clean out my notes once results come back--looking foward to chucking out a lot of things! :D
- Watch lots of movies and Simpsons episodes! :D

And probably some others that I can't think of right now.

EDIT: Hmmm, too many smilies there I think? Oh wells, proves I'm revving to go for these hols (as if I wasn't already when procrastinating for exams).

i LOVE the summer holidays. They make getting through exams all the more worthwhile!

I'm planning on:
- losing 5 kilos
- going to the beach at least once a week
- picking up more shifts at work
- having picnics with my boy

and i have summer school in January, which doesn't seem too bad. But ask me again in January and I'm sure I'll be thinking differently lol
