Here are some important dates throughout the year, including when semester commences/ends, exam periods and important census dates.

SEMESTER DATES, 2007

February Semester

Semester begins: Monday 5 March

Easter recess: Friday 6 April to Friday 13 April

Study vacation: Monday 11 June to Friday 15 June

Examination period: Monday 18 June to Saturday 30 June

Semester ends: Saturday 30 June



July Semester

Semester begins: Monday 23 July

Semester recess: Monday 24 September to Friday 28 September

Study vacation: Monday 29 October to Friday 2 November

Examination period: Monday 5 November to Saturday 17 November

Semester ends: Saturday 17 November



PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

Australia Day: Friday 26 January
Good Friday: Friday 6 April
Easter Monday: Monday 9 April
Anzac Day: Wednesday 25 April
Queen's Birthday: Monday 11 June
Labour Day: Monday 1 October



UNDERGRADUATE ENROLMENT DEADLINES, 2007

February Semester

Last day to add a unit: Friday 16 March

Last day to withdraw: Friday 30 March (or 31 March- have to check this one. According to most faculties it is 31 March, but it states 30 March for the law faculty.)

Last day to discontinue not fail (DNF): Friday 27 April

Last day to discontinue fail (DF): Friday 8 June



July Semester

Last day to add a unit: Friday 3 August

Last day to withdraw: Friday 31 August

Last day to discontinue not fail (DNF): Friday 7 September

Last day to discontinue fail (DF): Friday 26 October

Anyone know when the exam timetable will be out? Or when certain exams are usually held?

I know at UNSW, maths exams were usually near the beginning.

Chemistry exams are usually on the first Monday, first year physics is on the first Saturday (well it has been for the past two years). That's all I really know.

Is there usually much difference between the draft version and the final version? I'm hoping that my two exams don't move, since they're pretty attractively placed at the moment.

Quick question: If I withdraw from a unit before 31st of August do I still have to pay for it (HECS)?

Pretty sure you're right. You withdraw without having to pay for it.
