So, I'm doing a performance for my IP ( http://www.monologuearchive.com/w/wedekind_001.html ) and I need to start actively working on it but I have no idea where to start!

I've been told to do some research, but on what?

What do I do after i've done that?

I was wondering if anyone could help me with a to - do list style guide to answer my questions.

context of monologue, information on genre of monologue, maybe do a mood map, research different possible costuming choices,Victorian era etc...

Maybe look into different genres (especially the ones which interest you) and performance styles.

I'm literally just writing what ever comes into my mind into my logbook and hoping to pass it off as research LOL
