Hey everyone, I am a Civil Engineering student from the U.S. who is planning on studying abroad next semester in Australia. I am trying to decide whether I should go to The University of Sydney, or The University of New South Wales.Would you guys be able to help me out by giving me some pros/cons of each? Anything to help me decide on which university would be the better choice. Thanks. |

UNSW and USYD engineering are both very good with UNSW slightly stronger judging from (unreliable) uni rankings. USYD is very close to the city which has its pros and cons. UNSW is about 4 miles out of the city but is very close to some of Sydney's best beaches. It takes about 15-20 minutes by bus to get into the city. UNSW is modern, USYD is old. USYD is arguably more social with more parties etc although US students from my experience tend to stick in groups together anyway. Hope that helps a bit Let me know if there are specific questions you want answered |
