Today, 5:08 AM ![]() | Re: List of English Techniques First person narration is definitely fine; i think past tense narration is ok as well but i think you'd probably be best of referring to the tone or something of the like. For example, if it's a journal entry then it would be written in the past tense which you can imply by examining the 'reflective tone'. That said, i don't think there should be a problem with using 'past tense narration'. Just my two cents... |

If in past tense from a first person perspective, it shows that the character makes it through the story alive. Or, its being told by an astral ghost.
