19 Nov 2009, 10:06 PM | Re: Analysing Visual Texts - Techniques don't forget about salience! how, where and when your attention is drawn  just get some handy knowledge about the significant parts of the picture and you should be set, like what colours influence certain emotions, some general facts like walt disneys 'aladdin' was released during a war which if u search enough you could probably draw a million links to etc. i just get 2 copies of the image and draw little notes all over one that helps, and you can still look back at the other...my teacher doesnt like my messy notes all over the picture but she has a clean one with it so she see's all my little notes and the actual image, plus the analysis and can then help me squeeze everything i wanted to write in. really the only way to get better is to keep doing it over and over again it sucks but its better then just writing essays |
