About Me

My name is Annabelle, and I completed Year 12 in 2008. I studied the IB and received a score of 44/45 - equivalent to an ENTER of 99.90, and was joint Dux Secundus of my school. This year I will be studying Medicine at Monash University.

My recent personal experience of Years 11 and 12 has made me familiar with the challenges that VCE and IB Biology students face, and I believe I am equipped with strategies to help students overcome them. I am patient, enthusiastic and encouraging.

What I can offer

I am passionate about biology, and am keen to share that passion!

I know that for some biology involves difficult concepts and lengthy rote learning, but I am confidant that I can help you to gain an understanding, by working through material alongside you in an engaging manner, helping out with homework and proofreading SACs/IAs. I can also provide notes and handouts from a variety of sources (including myself) to provide further clarification.

My experiences as a student of medicine, as well as having achieved the maximum possible mark of 7 in Higher Level IB Biology mean that I have a strong knowledge base, which I look forward to sharing.

Details

I am located in Hawthorn (Melbourne) and would be happy to travel to your home or an agreed meeting place. I will be available in the evenings during the week, and also over the weekend.
My hourly rate starts at $25 (depending on the distance travelled).

Annabelle's tutored me biology for 1st year medicine and makes everything seem so straightforward because she knows her stuff but somehow makes it all seem pretty simple...I recommend her!
