6 Jul 2009, 11:05 AM ![]() | Casual vce english tuition - only available during these term 2 holidays You can hide this advertisement by registering. Hey everyone! My name is Lisa and I've advertised English tutoring on BOS earlier in the year. Since I'm a uni student, I've had no availabilities for extra students during the uni semester apart from the 6 regular students I currently tutor. However, since term 2 holidays are coming up and my exams will be over, I'm hoping to take on students who would like some casual tutoring over these next few weeks. This casual tuition could be a good idea for anyone who wants to review what they've done so far this year, focus specifically on a weak point (for example, language analysis), do some preparation for next semester or even just to obtain a different opinion on your essays from that of your teacher/normal tutor etc. There will be very flexible times depending on your desires - any time during the day and how many hours you'd like the session to be. If you are interested and would like to read more about what I have to offer, please read my advertisement below or contact me on pink_honey08@hotmail.com Have an awesome holiday everyone! Lisa -------------------------------- Hi BOS members, I'm an enthusiastic and friendly person who is providing beneficial tutoring sessions in the coming years. I achieved a raw study score of 45 in 2008 scoring high A+ in all my sacs and and also an A+ in the end of year exam. I have an in-depth knowledge of the english texts/films I studied this year and will make it my responsibility to have an excellent understanding of your school texts/films (I have started reading several texts on the English curriculum). The ones I've studied are: Text Response: Nineteen Eighty-Four (used in the end of year exam) Look Both Ways Encountering Conflict: The Line The Crucible (used in the end of year exam) The Secret River (used in the end of year exam) I am motivated to teach my students to understand and enjoy the English curriculum as much as possible. This includes teaching you to have have basic and intricate knowledge of Text Responses, Language Analysis, Creative Writing and much more in order to gain the marks you desire. I adapt to students needs - whether they require me to go over the basics of essay writing or if they are rapid learners who wish to excel by extending their knowledge concerning different techniques and approaches to article analysis. My sessions are based on what the student wishes to do, for example: exploring themes of a certain novel, responding to an essay question or reviewing your work to see what can be improved. Apart from these lessons, you will be able to contact me any time to ask questions or hand in essays for marking for free. Furthermore, I am most interested in helping you strive for your goals, whether it is to get a study score of 30 for your dream course or a high-end score of 50. I truly believe that in the end, any study score that you desire and attain will be a fantastic achievement. I can also help students out with pointers for the GAT, which IS in everyone's best interest to do as well as they can. My standardised score was 46/50 which placed me in the top 2% of the state. I charge a flat price of $25/hour for an individual or $20/hour for 2 or more. This will vary depending on travel costs as I can meet you somewhere which is accessible for both of us. Please contact me at my email: pink_honey08@hotmail.com, for any interests or enquires. Lisa |
