Help with thesis for dystopian essay - Oryx and Crake

Eng. Ext Yr 11 Module - Dystopia
Need a bit of help with creating the thesis statement for an essay. The text I'm doing is Oryx and Crake by Margaret Atwood but that's not super important at this stage.

I just cant get my head around the question:
The best dystopias speak to the deeper meanings of what it is to be one small part of a teeming civilization… and of what it is to be human.
Is this view of the value of Dystopian texts true of the novel or film you have chosen?

Any ideas or help 'unpacking' the question will be greatly appreciated.
