Just wondering.. all the people that are doing Retreat from the Global.. are you learning The Castle as being an inherantly sexist and racist film?

what?? why would you learn about the castle like that?

It doesn't so much matter whether its sexist or racist - the topic is "retreat from the global". Thats the perspective you should be approaching it from.

If anything, it seeks the unification and equal recognition of races (rather than being racist), if you look at it as a representation of Mabo...

Why is it that an ever increasing rate of people are seeking to label movies, stories etc etc as racist and sexist?
Personally I think a large majority of percieved racism and sexism is conjured up in the head of do gooders and social equitists!
No, The Castle is not racist, or sexist, it is just a typically Aussie film - anjoy it and analyse it for what it is, not what it could potentially be percieved to be if you look at it from a paranoid pshycotic way!
