How do you think you went in the Short Answers section?

I think I went pretty well. While multiple choice was harder than normal. Short answers were easier than normal.

Um you know that primary and secondary coil one?

Which one makes the sparks? A or B ?

aw, fckn knew something was wrong there :( coz i was thinkin that B wasnt even in the coil

i justified myself by saying B was like a step up transformer therefore making greater voltages.

so yea, guess i got the next one wrong too.

how much marks was that? like 8 all up?

What reason did you give for A? (I did A but not sure of reason).

oh thank god i couldnt shake this thought of the magnetic field lines coming out the ends of the coil so that if its in A, it wont cut it but in B it will cut a bit at the end.
But then i rejected that whole train of thought and gave a textbook answer about more flux lines cut etc even though i couldn't see how lol

What was the reason for that? I said greater change in flux+iron core magnifies field. But I wasn't sure.

i think ull prolly only loose 1 mark for getting it wrong, cuz it sayed justify. So it doesnt matter as long as u can back it up.....right? Welps that what im hoping for cuz i said b as well lawl

i said wire x was pure because the slope was larger meaning the resistance was less because the resistance was 1/slope

Was that X or Y? I think I got that wrong, strangely. I Put X IIRC. Were we told to actually graph something?

What other parts were there to that question? (I don't have 27)

Yea line X was pure chromium and you could tell cos alloys have impurities which decrease conductivity

i said wire x coz the inverse gradient givs u the resistance, so yea i said some shit about how pure metals hav less resistance than the alloys which is seen in the lower resistance

me too - you got the more gradual slope having greater resitance (dont remember which was x and y)
therefore the one with lower resistance was chromium, because metals are good conductors, and alloys have greater resistance and less good conductance... i think that's it.
