Judging by doing the past papers. In 2001 it was 78. This paper was slightly easier if I can remember 2001's. Probably about 80, maybe 85.

slightly easier? from who's perspective?i dont think you know how the state did within 1.5 hours after the exam has been completed..and 85 seems abit too high.

My perspective obviously. Then again I would've gotten better at physics since doing that past paper. I still stand by about 80 as a guess.

I see, what do u think the cut off for a 76+ will be, possibly even band 5.

Physics isn't a low scaling subject. It wouldn't be 85. From past years, it will probably be 70-80, towards the higher end.

The Quanta to Quarks questions were really good, i did Heisenberg and Pauli

I think the cut-off would be low 80s:D

I'm not going to vote in the poll because I think it will be somewhere in the 79-81/100 range.
It was nice, but there were some things I just had to make up. Like, in Q2Q, I totally made up my answer to the Standard Model question! I will probably get 1, maybe 2 out of 4. Probably lost like 6 marks in that section =/
How about question 16? I opened the paper to the short answer questions and just laughed. I had no idea!
Anyway, I hoping for band 6.

Waaaaaaaaaay too few calculation questions, especially projectiles! A single multiple choice question? =[
