Hey guys,
For this module I am finding it really hard to find a related text for Birthday Letters. I need a text that is not related to Ted Hughes or Sylvia Plath. I am already doing the movie Sylvia. Any suggestions?

Thanks for any help. :)

I'm not sure why you can't do a Sylvia Plath poem. We can at my school. Birthday Letters was written by Ted Hughes and not Sylvia after all.

At my school they say for a more diverse essay on Birthday Letters it's best not to have related texts about Hughes/Plath because then it becomes more about their actual relationship than it is about 'Conflicting Perspectives'. That said, it's probably still fine for you to use Sylvia if you've already started. A lot of people at my school are doing artworks; this is really easy (even if you don't do art it's just as easy to find information about artworks online). Good artworks to use are Marilyn Diptych by Andy Warhol (this is what I've chosen), or some of Frida Kahlo's works.
