Lots.
I write pretty fast, and I loved this course so much.
I found it fairly easy to succint my ideas and use relevant examples from lots of texts.

surely your essay must be pretty superficial in regards to the depth of your analysis, you physically cannot analyse 9 in an hour or so and expect good marks

Re: So who's ready for tomorrow's exam?

If you do 9 it's not so much text analysis, but genre analysis with a broad pool of examples.

Re: So who's ready for tomorrow's exam?

I feel relatively confident with the content but my main concern is getting a ridiculous critical response question or a crazy stimulus for creative writing.

I know it's a 'genre' study and we have to develop an understanding of conventions, etc. but I really hate (with a passion) the idea of testing creative writing. It's not so much 'creative' as it is forced adherence to a stimulus with emphasis on reshaping a pre-written story, in a time limit. Those who don't cope with the pressure of being 'creative' within an hour are essentially screwed. IMO it's a lot harder to be genuinely creative under pressure in regard to a genre you've no passion for than it is to develop a coherent and comprehensive essay response.

well it's a genre study not a critical analysis of texts.
