I dunno my UAI or results yet, but i imagine when i find out and my parents do to we'll throw out, or burn, the envelope and move on, HSC isn't that significant to me or my family.
Besides, after giving me $75 000 for my birthday, i don't think they have any intention on rewarding me for putting unnecessary stress on myself all year long

75000 seems a bit obscene to give an 18year old for a birthday... unless its to be spent on uni or something

Re: Family's reaction to your UAI?

My parents cared more about my HSC marks more than my UAI ranking.....

When they saw i passed physics with a 53, my dad gave me a hug and $50 .

I work so it was more of a gesture.

My UAI was 49.55.

I'm happy with it as i was expecting lower.......

TAFE HERE I COME .

Re: Family's reaction to your UAI?

my parents are so happy and proud of me.
at best they thought i might get maybe 90, or 91 but after my results yesterday we knew it'd be higher than that.
i got 96.65 and they couldnt be prouder.
my mum called like everyone we know, and then goes "so who else can i tell..."

Re: Family's reaction to your UAI?

Mine were pretty happy, especially after hearing some other results from my school. Someone I thought would state rank only got 86 and another who I thought would do really well got 53.
