I know. It felt weird/disconcerting coming out being a little unsure about some questions. Then I came home and spent a bit of time working the later/harder questions out, and it was fortunately all good.

Re: General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

Flew through 1 to the end of 5a...then 5b hit me like brick (shat myself pretty badly thinking from there on it would be that retarded, hate 3D Trig!) Then from there on got about half of 6...and 1/3 of 7...but overall I feel it was fair. There are stuff everybody could do in that exam and stuff that differentatied the average students from the amazing students so I'm glad..above 70% and I'm happy

That's tough. I'm really not too sure. =\
It could be argued that you didn't find the 'time', because 'nt' isn't a 'time', so to speak. However, you pretty much got everything.

Re: General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

Because it was such a 'longer' working question, I think they will be lenient and give you the marks for it. I think the markers will have to mark easier this year as well. The test was a little harder, and a bit different to earlier years.

Re: General Thoughts: Mathematics Ext 1

Yea probably... since 3! =/= 3 :P

Depends how nice they are with marking. The Binomial section was weird in this paper.

You might lose marks. It depends on whether their marking criteria accounts for that mistake.

What would that additional angle be then?

....

There's only one answer as it was a boundary angle.

Also adding 2pi to it yields a result outside the given domain. So 0.64 is the only answer.

SAME! And make that Q5 as well damn "simple harmonic motion" it aint SIMPLE at all! I memorised the formulas for SHM but we had 2 prove one from another i was like nooooo just couldnt get it.. skipped hte rest of that question too..

6 was insane, weirdass projectiles how the hell u do that! 7 was apprenytly easier? I only got the first part about differentiation from first principles lol lucky i remembered that and the induction was different but ok i didnt use product rule like they said too but..

Geometric series ok, bionomial WHAAAAT? i fail at binomial theorem and that day was no different no idea how 2 begin.. in the probability question i got a negative probability for one GRRR!

In Q3 i screwed up my scaled graph That took me ages i did it to scale n everything but only got 2 POIs not 3.. 1,2,4 were good. Lol there were no Ps & Cs or circle geo right?

Im expecting around 65% raw mark btw what is E3 and E4 and all that? Hard test but around standard for 3u i reckon.. maybe slightly harder i dunno..

Results for 1st and 2nd quads for this would essentially be the same since it's a boundary angle.
