Au Pair/Nanny Gap Year (1 Viewer)

Has any1 been on or planning on doing an Au Pair/ Nanny year as a gap year between school & uni or tafe & Uni? i thinking about doing one after tafe as im doing childcare and was wondering if any1 else was or has & possibly has any advice. would be much appriciated!

i had a friend who was considering to do it. i guess you could always check their website for more in depth information but from what I hear it's a good way to get experience especially if you are seriously considering entering the teaching/childcare field.

From memory it pays pretty decent for someone with no qualifications and you have most of your expenses covered anyway by your host family (?)

You'll need to look at a number of things before deciding to do it. Are you up for travelling away from home for the year and other such issues.

I have a friend in France at the moment being an au pair and she isn't exactly enjoying it too much.

ive been looking into au pair.. i love kids and think it'd be a great experience!
