sono una persona molto in gamba, sono socevole e faccio l'amicizia facilmente. non mi piace stare a case...invece, mi piace uscire tanto, soppratutto in citta' perche' ci sono tante cose da fare li. sono d'orgine asiatica - mia madre e' fillipina e mio padre e' cinese, comunque sono nata e cresciuta qui in australia.

cosa fai per rilassarti quando sei stressato/a?

Mi piace dormire o andare al cinema se sono stressata. Vado al cinema quasi ogni settimana. La cosa che mi piace di piu' del cinema e' la possibilita' di scappare dalla vita odierna e mi perdo nel film. Vado spesso con mia madre perche' a le piacciono glis stessi tipi di film che piacciono a me.

Qual'e` il tuo film preferito?

mi piace tantissimo lo sport di danza... ballo da 10 anni (ho cominciato quando ero bambina, quando avevo 7 anni).. e' la mia passione. umm ho fatto tanti esibizioni in giro a sydney, mebourne e anche all'estero in america :)

a me non piace solo un tipo di musica. a me piace molto ascoltare la radio per sentire tutti i nuovi cantanti, e tutte le nuove canzone. dunque, preferisco la musica nuova.

no, quest'anno non avevo molto tempo x fare niente a parte dai miei studi, pero se ho un po' di tempo libero ascolto la musica italiana (come Nek, laura pausini, giorgia ecc) x rilassarmi e anche credo ke la musica mi aiuti migliorare la mia conoscenza della lingua e la cultura italiana

i wouldnt say that i go out w/friends becos then they ask where do u go and you say movies and they ask you to tell them about a movie, its easier this way (4 me newai!)

it doesnt make sense because u use sia and then dovrebb'essere, two verbs in the same clause.

it should be

credo che la cosa piu importante dovrebb'essere l'amicizia

it's è not sono, amicizia takes the singular

i'm not italian and im not that good, except maybe i used to do latin so my grammar was helped by that.

sophie what do u want to know about piacere?

basically it means to please, so when u meet someone or something italians often say piacere, meaning something like "it's a pleasure" in english

when u want to use it to express the liking of something however it becomes more complicated.

usually u will just leave it in the 3rd person form and what u r really saying is this thing is pleasing to me.

i.e Mi piace questa macchina
or maybe it's easier to understand when it's
a me piace questa macchina

u r just saying that "this car is pleasing to me" which is the closest thing italian has to the english "i like this car"

however if there are two cars it would be,
"i like these cars" or "these cars are pleasing to me",
so u have to say Mi piaccono queste macchine

when u change to other tenses u basically leave it in the 3rd person to express like

i.e

mi e' piaciuto il viaggio

gli piacerebbe andare in discoteca con me

etc.

maybe that doesnt clear things up, but i tried :)

it is the same thing in this case, mi is a direct object but it is really just a contracted form of "a me"

when ppl say "a me" it's usually just for emphasis

i was thinking of you in italian today iambored perche' we were revising pronouns. My teacher explained that you should only use 'a me' when you are trying to be strong and forceful. In English we use emphasis in our pronounciation to say this but in italian they use a me, a te etc
